Can I ask? Is this list global companies, or specifically companies' operations within a particular country? Gender based discrimination is, after all, illegal in a number of countries and any company practicing gender discrimination there is opening itself wide open to serious legal action. --Jennyemily 14:57, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

To be honest, I'm wondering whether this page is necessary. I may be Euro-centric in this view, of course - after all, gender-based discrimination has been unacceptable in Europe since the Treaty on European Union was signed in 1957 - but if there's a reason for needing a list like this, so be it.
