Founded in honour of a 22 year old Seattle transsexual who committied suicide, in part because sex reassignment was not available to her, this foundation works to make surgery and hormone therapy accessible to all transsexuals. It also challenges state laws that refuse funding for transsexuals' health care needs. It is a nonprofit corporation.
